Geez...I had the greatest day ever yesterday...first I went to Chatanooga with Kala [went to the "zoo", flirted with a hot waiter at CheeburgerCheeburger, bought a Rosary made with 1937 post war Japan made alibaster beads, and then walked around downtown.] then on the way home we acted completely ridiculous and picked up Shawn and continued to be ridiculous, went to a LAME party, and finally ended up at Shawn's to hang out with the UK band Your Demise [they stayed the night] and twas awesome.

When James Tailby grabbed my arm and asked "Oy, is that a Vivienne Westwood tattoo??" it pretty much made my night.

I got "dressed" today, and it ended up being the most useless thing ever...after a half hour lunch with my brother[it took three times that to get ready] I was informed that immediately following lunch he'd be picked up by friends.  So there I was in my new sweater, alone in my father's living room...joy.

TRANsition

It kills me that I have to sit here day after day and live in perpetual boy mode because I was too lazy and too stupid to get a job when I really needed it. I have a job now, but it is one that took me 212 miles from the people I love and the life I built over the last two years. I am under-paid, under-stimulated, and just as miserable as I have ever been. My "sister" left today to spend the week in SanFran. I am so happy for her that she got to go, but at the same time it obliterates my soul to know that I'm not in a place where I can take trips whenever I want. I am uninspired and I don't work on things that matter to me. I am biding time until Laet'li can once again step out of the shadows and I can begin to once again live the life I started in Memphis.

I hope I can survive until May.

So...I'm addicted to Sorority Life on Facebook. It's dumb, and monontonous, and takes up way too much time in my life, but I can't help it...I LOVVVVVVVE it!!

I feel like it's been forever, but I guess one of the inevitable aspects of blogging is that unexplained gap in posting...at least this time I didn't derail completely.

Anywhoozaliewhatsitsandwherenots...I "discovered" a little indie song bird by the name of Marina Diamandis a few months or so ago. She plays to the name Marina and the Diamonds, and has a poppy piano fused sound that is sure to instill within you a sense of optimism and a general upswelling of infallible happiness[not to mention the obvious commonalities with one Ms. Spektor] Well, much to my pleasant surprise...NYLON's facebook page posted a song today that is one I'd heard in the past, only this time it had been remixed by Passion Pit and was just tooooooo freaking stunning.

You are officially looking at Revolutionary Runway's new Creative Assistant. I am basically an extension of the Creative Director, and in charge of pretty much everything...all I have to do is get approval and then I make shit happen. Can anyone say super excited??

I'm heading to Memphis today, and hopefully by Sunday I will have negotiated my position at Revolutionary Runway. I do the work for the job I want, now all I want is the title and the recognition. I deserve it, and I will no longer work without it.
